Hazel Marie Kornegay
Plymouth resident Hazel Marie Kornegay, 83, died Sunday June 22, 2025, at her home.
Pastor Eddie McNair officiated a service Saturday, June 28, at Lily of the Valley Baptist Church. Burial followed in Garden of Peace Family Cemetery, Plymouth.
The family received friends prior to the service at the church.
Toodle’s Funeral Home, Washington Street, Plymouth, was in charge of arrangements.

Irvin Fleet Stillman Jr., 72, of Windsor, died Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Reverend Vickie Woolard officiated a memorial service Sunday, June 29, at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
Margie Moore Swart
Mrs. Margie Moore Swart, age 96, of Roper, passed away Sunday morning, June 22, 2025 at Margate Health and Rehab Center in Jefferson.
A memorial service will be held in Wilmington at a later date.
Margie was born in Raleigh on June 23, 1928, to the late Rufus Clement Moore Sr. and Minnie Lou Kinney Moore.
She was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She was always putting family first. Margie loved working outside in her flowers and helping her husband in the garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. (Bill) Swart; a son, William Swart Jr.; three brothers, Rufus Moore, Charles Moore and Vernon Moore.
Margie is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Swart, of Edenton; three sons, John Swart (Michele) of Creston, James Swart of College Station, TX and Clifford Swart (Tonya) of Plymouth; eight grandchildren, Derek Swart (Michelle) of Hillsborough, Jenna McDonnell (Marc) of King, William Swart, of Durham, Sydney Swart of Pine Prairie, LA, Olivia Swart, of College Station, TX, Demetrius Davis, of Charlotte, Traveona Armstrong, of Charlotte and Janiysia Armstrong, of Plymouth; six great-grandchildren, Lily, Case, Lucy and Hardie McDonnell and Cipie and Ansel Swart; and several nieces and nephews.
