Washington County’s African-American Museum is hosting a Reading Skills workshop that aims to keep kids on their toes and their skills sharp during summer vacation.
The brainchild of Museum curator Rosa Brown and retired educator Gwendolyn Bowser, the six week long tutoring workshop is designed to keep kids from Pre-K all the way up through 7th grade engaged and ready to return to school a few steps ahead of the game.
As Brown tells it, she has long wanted to use her museum as an outlet for summertime tutoring and reading skill enhancement.
