Baseball and Softball officially made its big comeback last week for the county’s middle school students, who boarded the bus and travelled to meet the formidable Hobgood Charter School Raiders on their home turf.
The Boys and Girls teams played simulataneous games against the Raiders, putting up an admirable showing, though they failed to put a crack in the ironclad Raiders. Despite the losses, the teams’ revival were reward enough for those that have long sought to bring middle school aged ball games back into prominence.
As it stands, the middle school Panthers are slated to play primarily Away games until further notice.
