Mike Wise: 'Freedom has always been expensive, and somebody else paid ours'

The threat of looming showers and humid temperatures were no obstacles to those gathered in front of the Washington County Courthouse mall on May 25, 2026. In defiance of days of heavy rainfall, scores of county residents came together to celebrate the Memorial Day holiday with the same fervor and enthusiasm as they always have.
