Sue O. Hardison

Sue Oliver Hardison, 84, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, June 1, 2026.
Sue was born in Washington County, on March 10, 1942, to the late Ernest B. and Ida Jones Oliver. She was married to Rod erick J. “R.J.” Hardison, who preceded her in death.
A graveside service were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the family plot in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Danny Robertson will officiate.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Surviving are three sons, Kevin Hardison (Beth) of Jamesville, Brett Hardi son (Shirley) of Crumpler, NC and Corey Hardison of Plymouth; two daugh ters, Pam Hardison and Cindy H. Calloway (Gary) both of Plymouth; nine grandchildren, Mallory Calloway, Danny Barber, Casey Roberson, Daylan Hardison, Josie H. Moore, Dustin Hope, Zack Hope, Aaron Hope and Colton Craft; fourteen great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christie Barber; a great great-grandchild; three brothers, Elmer Lynn Oliver, Bill Oliver, Pete Oliver; and a sister, Jean Rose.
Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service at Hampton Academy, Plymouth.
Jonus Wayne “Wayne” Cole Sr.
Jonus Wayne “Wayne” Cole, 85, of Plymouth, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026.
Born on June 4, 1940, Wayne was the son of the late James Edward Cole and Lucy Williams Cole and his beloved wife, Dianne Asby Cole.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Connie Cole Denning and husband, Walter, of Brevard, North Carolina; his son, Jonas Wayne Cole, Jr. and wife, Toni, of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; several siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchilden, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Friday, June 5, 2026, at Hillside Memorial Gar dens in Plymouth, officiated by Jim my Elks and Daniel Davenport. Burial followed in the cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Maitland Funeral Home in Plymouth and at other times at the family residence.

Mrs. Cheryle Jean Ange, age 73, a resident of Plym outh, NC died Tuesday June 2, 2026, at her home.
A graveside funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Ange Family Cemetery located at the home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday June 4, 2026, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the cemetery following the service.
