Roper’s African-American Museum and Cultural Arts Center once again celebrated its annual Juneteenth program over the weekend, welcoming many of the county’s most recognizable faces into its halls.
Nestled behind a small table at the rear of the event was author Deanna K. Klingel, who greeted most of the visitors as they came through the museum’s entrance and told them a bit about the 21st offering in her written collection, “We Are Here.”
