Yan Weiner didn’t arrive in Plymouth looking for a seat on Town Council. She arrived looking for a house — and found a community worth investing in. “The house” is what first drew her here, Weiner said in a recent interview with the Roanoke Beacon. She purchased a home in Plymouth in the summer of 2024, and less than a year later, the retired aero space engineer found her self appointed to the Ward 2 council seat left vacant by the death of Council man Danny Wobbleton in April.
