ROPER — Washington County Community Center, 37 E. Mill Pond Road, Roper, will be the host site of Alliance for Great er Eastern North Caroli na’s ongoing “Out in the Rural Arts Series” for an Evening of Community Artistic Expressions, II. The event will include songs, dance and spoken word talent from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 25. The deadline for par ticipation is July 15. NCWorks job fair

EDENTON — NCWorks will host a job fair from 2-4 p.m. June 21, 2026, at the College of the Albemarle Campus Culinary Building, 118 Blaze St., Edenton.

Financial Literacy workshop

A Financial Literacy and Resume Writing Workshop will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. July 20, 2026, at Washington County Library, 201 E. 3rd St., Plymouth. The event will be hosted by NCWorks.

Resiliency workshop

SBP and the Albemarle Commission will host a series of Northeast North Carolina Prepared ness Forums July 14-15. Participants are encour aged to choose either the July 14 session at Black Dirt Café, 107 Water St., Columbia or the July 15 session at Albemar le Commission Council of Governments, 512 S. Church St., Hertford.

Both sessions will last from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The goal is to help local governments, nonprof its, schools, faith-based organizations, healthcare providers, businesses and community leaders strengthen their partner ships while learning prac tical preparedness strat egies that can benefit the entire community.

Joint meeting

Washington County Commissioners will meet with Washington County School Board members in a joint session scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, in the auxiliary gym at Washington County’s consolidated school on US 64 East. A specific meeting agenda was not estab lished as of press time, but discussion is likely to address a potential state budget and ongoing development of consolidated school facilities.
