There may be another new mascot in store for Washington County schools.

Results from a Survey Monkey poll will play a part in identifying the district’s symbolic face when a new consolidated K-12 school opens.

The choice of a new mascot was on the January 10 agenda for discussion and possible approval by the school board, but consideration was stalled at the suggestion of Chairman Carlos Riddick.

Superintendent Linda Jewell-Carr said a mascot decision was not yet a pressing need, but explained, “When it goes to bid, different colors have different prices.”
