It’s funny, the more we see violent, politically-motivated incidents and shootings occur, the more puzzled mainstream media seems to be about why they’re happening.
Just last week there was no shortage of legacy media outlets observing the shooting in Dallas and pretending as if they had no idea why a deranged man would load up a gun and open fire on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility.
In case you missed it, 29-year-old Joshua Jahn opened fire on a Dallas ICE facility last Wednesday. While Jahn intended to kill ICE agents, he mistakenly killed a detainee and put two more in critical condition before killing himself.
According to reports and Jahn’s handwritten notes, he hated the U.S. government, wanted to terrorize and kill federal agents to deter the agency from doing its job.
Naturally, this is being treated as mystery wrapped in an enigma by those in the press and progressives on- line who only want to blame guns and failures of the system.
Obviously, this performative head scratching is by design and it’s worth pointing it out as part of an ongoing sinister undercurrent gripping the U.S.
The attack in Dallas is far from the first attack against ICE personnel and law enforcement in Texas.
In fact, it’s not even the first attack nationwide on ICE facilities and personnel, but one of many that have taken place as a broader trend of violent domestic terrorism.
Back in July, attackers dressed in black military-styled clothing and tac- tical gear attacked the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, southwest of Dallas. A single officer was wounded in that attack and nearly a dozen were charged for orchestrating the attack.
Days later, Ryan Louis Mosqueda, a man with an assault rifle, fired dozens of shots at border agents leaving a facil- ity in McAllen before being killed in a shoot out with authorities.
Attacks and assaults on ICE agents in Los Angeles earlier in the year also prompted the Trump Administration to send in federal forces to quell the demonstrations against the agency.
With everything I’ve laid out, you have to ask yourself, why aren’t prominent Democrats and progressives more upset by all the death and senseless destruction they’re seeing?
At the very least, they could be making attempts to change their language to bring down the temperature.
For the intellectually honest among us, the answer is obvious.
While they might not be in the business of outright condoning shootings, they are in the business of profiting from them politically.
The reality is, the Democratic Party and the left at large are in favor of these kinds of events, even if they don’t say it out loud.
Because, if there’s one thing we know about the left in general, they’re playing for keeps and that means orchestrating a quiet, but deadly, permission structure for events like the Dallas shooting.
Even before Jahn’s Wednesday rampage, California Governor Gavin Newsom was on Stephen Colbert’s show actively promoting the idea that resisting ICE and deportation efforts was a moral imperative.
“Masked men, jumping out of unmarked cars, people disappearing with no due process, no oversight with zero accountability. This is happening in the United States of America today,” Newsom told Colbert’s audience. “... these aren’t just authoritarian tendencies they’re authoritarian actions by an authoritarian government.”
With such descriptions, you can’t help but have insane people believe that they’re under 1930s Nazi rule.
While I would say that it’s amazing that the left has taken absolutely zero responsibility for their language and role in perpetuating violence and evil, it’s really not surprising...
