Washington County School Board Vice-Chairman Carlos Riddick is the new President of the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) for the 2025-2026 terms.

Riddick, a past chairman of the WCS board, was elected during the annual NCSBS conference in Greensboro November 12-14.

His historic election to the postmarks the first time a board member from Washington County has been chosen to lead the statewide organization.
