Washington Coun- ty High School Varsity Panthers team utterly decimated the North Edgecombe County Warriors during an eventful homecoming game.
Before the Panthers’ victory under the Friday night lights, the school super-charged the atmosphere with a week’s worth of pepped up Panther Pride events before culminating in a school pep rally.
On Friday afternoon, the school orchestrated its homecoming procession, which was rife with appearances from county officials, fur suited mascots, the young Washington County Recreation Panthers team and of course ap- pearances from the Varsity Panthers alongside the homecoming royalty.
The pomp and circumstance of it all would ultimately serve the Panther’s well during their evening bout against the Edgecombe team.
