Hudson back in jail for threatening cop

Torey Lamont Hudson, a 39-year-old Plymouth man with dozens of arrests and convictions since 2002, was back in lockup last week after threatening a sheriff’s deputy in the Washington County courtroom.

According to court documents, Hudson voiced his threat as he walked from the courtroom during a morning break February 24, telling WCSO Inv. Phillip Hassell, “Don't worry, I'ma see you. And when I do you know what's on! I'ma fuck you up."

Hudson was in court for appearances on two drunk driving charges levied in two consecutive weeks by different NC Hwy Patrolmen in October 2025.

Hudson was held without bond since he has pending criminal charges, but bond was later set at $15,000. He remained in custody as of Friday, February 27...
